Watch This Before You Buy An Axe In 2026!
There are also many axes that are beautiful and somewhere in the middle. Like a Gransfor's Bruk Axe...or a custom Brent Bailey Forge Maul (best head in the world imo) the real question comes down to what are you wanting and needing. Not simply "if it can split wood". I do understand there is a Fiskars Isocore Maul. i personally feel the heavier head does not lend well to a synthetic handle. The added weight makes the energy transfer through the handle and too flexible for an 8 pound head. Personal Opinion.
