But the most interesting things are yet to come. My work took me to the site of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant (Crane Clean Energy Center) under construction in Pennsylvania. This facility, located on a separate island in the Susquehanna River, is known worldwide after the 1979 accident—the largest nuclear accident in the history of the US nuclear power industry. After that, the plant remained a symbol of change in American nuclear energy for many years. Today, the facility is experiencing a new life: one of the power units is being prepared for a restart, and large-scale construction and modernization work is underway on the site. I was able to visit this highly restricted facility and show you something that ordinary people rarely get the chance to see. Let's take a look at how work is organized at the station, how unloading is going, and what's happening now at one of the most famous energy facilities in the United States.
