The benefit and necessity of a "human" guru 17 Karmapa

In this video clip from Day 4 of the Fifty Verses on the Guru teachings by 17th Karmapa (2025), the Karmapa speaks about how on the secret mantra/tantric path it is essential to have a guru whom we can see, talk to, ask questions and guide us on the path. Without that we cannot hope to have any improvement or realisations. So, it is possible the "human" guru may have some faults, and we have to check they do not have lots of faults, and have the essential qualities. However, to wait around to find a perfect, faultless guru is pointless and we will not be able to get Dharma teachings if we do. It is also important that we do not complain about our guru, but also be very careful were complaining about a guru (or being) one does not have a real Dharma connection with. As even a dog or cow could be a great being/bodhisattva, as Buddhist practitioners, we need to be very careful before criticizing or complaining about anyone.
