On Saturday, July 18th, 2026, as part of our YouTube "Travel Across the Region" series, we set off for the Gia Binh Airport construction site in Bac Ninh. Our trip was driven by curiosity, a desire to capture the vibrant scenes of this "massive construction site," as well as the landscapes of the villages and hamlets being "cleared" to make way for the Gia Binh International Airport. In the morning, we stopped at Tu Ne, Do Xa, and My Thon for lunch, enjoying a bowl of bun cha (grilled pork with vermicelli) in the center of Thua town. Then, in the early afternoon, we ventured into Dong Lam village in Gia Binh. The village temple has a beautiful name… Walking along the smooth concrete village road, we noticed something strange: the village walls were painted with murals symbolizing a peaceful and united village; the banyan tree, the well, the village square; children wearing red scarves playing happily in the schoolyard… Yet now, it's deserted. Almost everyone has moved out to temporary housing, and the gates of the houses along the entire village road are left wide open – nobody bothers to close them anymore! By July 30th, the plan is for Dong Lam village to hand over its land for the mega airport project???
