Happy 90th Birthday Bobby Darin: A BRAND NEW concert recording from 1973! Part 1 of 2.
May 14th 2026 would have been Bobby Darin's 90th birthday, and so we have something very special! Last year, our channel posted an audience recording of Bobby's very last Las Vegas show, and, now, here is the first segment of a SOUNDBOARD (recorded live from the mixing desk) recording from the same season! We don't know the exact date, but the tape states July, and Bobby says it's a Monday, so we're probably looking at July 23rd or July 30th 1973. We also know that this is Bobby's second show of the night, as he mentions it during part 2 of this concert. Considering how ill we know he was at this point in his career, it's remarkable that he was doing two show a night. The highlight of this first section is probably the slower than usual version of Let the Good Times Roll. We really hope you enjoy this brand new concert, and look out for the second half which is coming your way very soon! Happy birthday Bobby! 0.00: Opening/Get Me To the Church on Time 2.46: Let the Good Times Roll (slow version) 6:58: I've Got You Under My Skin 10.05: Beyond the Sea 19.15: Mack the Knife
