Diri Djon Djon, Griot, Bouyon Bef & Pikliz 🇭🇹 | Trying Haitian Food in Little Haiti Brooklyn

I traveled to Little Haiti in Brooklyn, NYC to try Haitian food for the first time. Watch me react to Haitian black rice (diri djon djon) made with a special black mushroom, pork griot, beef stew (bouyon bef) and I also try Haitian pikliz (Haitian spicy pickled vegetable relish). There were some similarities to Filipino food that I have been eating a lot recently, the Griot reminded me of Lechon Kawali but using a different cut than Pork Belly. The cuisine of Haiti is vibrant and exciting and I recommend anyone to try it. I appreciate the Haitian kitchen tour from the owner!
