Module 3 The Aviation Industry is an attractive target for terrorist and criminals and all staff working in the industry need to be well aware of different threats and how we can play a role to either support prevention or to know how to react in case of a security incident. Whilst there are designated staff and managers which take care of aviation security. Security is the responsibility of everybody and the more people who are involved in this process, the better is our chance of preventing incidents. Security awareness training remains the best way to ensure people are aware of the threats and risks. Who is the Course for?  Everyone who is not directly involved in Security from the Accountable Manager (AM) to members of Operation and Ramp Services including Maintenance. What is the Benefit of this Training – What will I learn?  – Understand why Aviation is an attractive target for terrorists and criminals – Consider the various International and National applicable legislation in area of Aviation Security – Understand the responsibility regarding how access to Airports and Airside zones is managed – Consider the security measures related to embarking and disembarking Passengers and cabin baggage – Overview of Security measures in accepting and handling of Cargo and Hold Baggage, mail and catering – Awareness of Staff Security obligations in the Security Restricted Area at the Airside – How to prevent or react in case of security issues in operation or at the ramp – Consider the reporting procedures in case of incident
