B-roads Eater: Tuned Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X RS | 4K - Raw Sound

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to record my friend's modified Mitsubishi Lancer. I tried to give a less amateurish feel to these arranged video, even if we are still far from what I have in mind (I'm not looking for anything cinematic, if you're wondering). The Evolution X (10), or simply Evo X, in this video started its life as an original RS. In the history of Lancer Evolution models, the 'RS' (Rally Sport) badge was given to identify the 'ready to race' version of the car, deprived of every comfort to limit the weight as much as possible. It was produced for rally and racing teams who wanted a platform to build a race car from, without all those features which would drive the price up and which they would not require. The Evo X RS has a 5-speed manual gearbox with close ratios, an aluminum roof, minimalist interiors with basic seats, black plastic door handles and 16'' rims. As for the more conventional GSR model, the RS is powered by a heavily revised version of the 2.0L DOHC MIVEC turbocharged engine, dubbed the 4B11, which develops 295hp. Finding one that has remained completely untouched is quite rare nowadays. It's no coincidence that the one you see in this video is quite far from being stock yet not too extreme and still very usable on winding and B-roads. The owner has mainly focused on making it more aggressive aesthetically, improving its delivery without exaggerating on the total power output (it should have around 360hp, which I consider to be a good figure for the type of car). Engine modifications include an AMS Performance intake, 3-ways boost controller with a dedicated ECU map, upgraded fuel pump and a catless exhaust with a screamer pipe.
