Marseille Shuttles are simply delicious! It's a bit like our Proust madeleine. These orange blossom water cookies are so unique. It awakens your taste buds. These cookies have a boat shape traditionally prepared for Candlemas instead of pancakes. There are several legends around these cookies. But the most popular is the one that attributes the symbol of the boat that brought the Saintes-Maries to the coasts of Provence. Good tasting ! Ingredients : 1 egg 80 g sugar (I use unrefined sugar) - ¼ cup + 2 tbsp 25 ml olive oil (1 tablespoon and 2 teaspoons) 1 tablespoon orange blossom water 1 pinch of salt Zest of 1 organic orange 230 g of flour (I use an old flour) - 1 cups + ¼ cup + 3 tbsp 1 - I use flour made from ancient grains (I never use modern flour). 2 - I like to use unrefined sugar but you can use any sugar you like. You can even replace the sugar with date molasses, for example. 3 - In the original recipe, the Navettes de Marseille are made with orange blossom water, but of course you can have fun flavoring it according to your tastes. ---------- #recipe #biscuits #cookies #candlemas
