Southern Class 377 Ride: Sutton to Epsom Downs

In this video, you join me on a Southern Class 377 EMU Electrostar on one of Southern's branch lines within the London Zones. The branch line I took a ride along was indeed the Epsom Downs branch line which typically begins at Sutton and ends at Epsom Downs, although services to an from Epsom Downs originate at London Victoria. I only recorded the section between Sutton and Epsom Downs as the purpose of this video was riding the Epsom Downs branch to get that ticked off and so that I wasn’t holding my phone for the entirety of the time as it was incredibly hot. . I was lucky enough to do this a week before GTR (Govia Thameslimk Railway) gets nationalised to which Southern is included in that franchise along with 3 other operators. After Sutton, leaving the line to Epsom, Wimbleon, Dorking, and Horsham behind was when we diverged onto the single line branch line down to Epsom Downs with stops at Belmont, Banstead, and finally into Epsom Downs.
