Hummer H2 2005 - Blower Motor Controller Repair (Blower Resistor)

This video shows how to access and remove the blower control module and how to repair/replace the power MOSFET. This can be more cost effective than replacing the unit with an after-market module or buying a used one. The most common faults are caused by condensation attacking the PCB and the Power MOSFET going short-circuit permanently energizing the fan motor even with the key out of the ignition. Update 2023 It appears there are least two types of Blower Resistor fitted in Hummers. GM 19331830 is the one in this video and has a "flying" motor cable and a 3-pin connector. GM 19329838 has a single 5-Pin connector and is usually supplied with a cable that needs to be spliced in to main harness if replacing GM 19331830 However It doeen't look easy to put GM 19331830 in GM 19329838 vehicle The good news is they are available on eBay and Amazon for under $40
