DIPENDENZE, MADRE ELVIRA (COMUNITÀ CENACOLO) SPIEGA COME RECUPERARE I DROGATI

A historical video introducing RITA AGNESE PETROZZI, known as MOTHER ELVIRA and widely referred to as "the drug addicts' nun." Born in Sora (FR) on January 21, 1937, during World War II, she emigrated with her poor family to Alessandria, where she experienced the hardships and poverty of the postwar era, becoming everyone's "servant" at home. At 19, she entered the convent in Borgaro Torinese, with the Sisters of Charity of Saint Giovanna Antida Thouret, where Rita Agnese became Sister Elvira. In the mid-1970s, she felt "a fire, a strong inner drive" rising within her to devote herself to the young people she saw in those years as lost, adrift, and lost. After a long, patient, and trusting wait, on July 16, 1983, in Saluzzo (Cuneo), he founded the Cenacolo Community, which is not just a social or welfare organization, but above all a "family" founded on faith, where wounded people can encounter a love that welcomes them freely, helps them heal their wounds, supports them, and guides them to rediscover the Path of Truth, a demanding love that educates them to the beauty of true Life.
