Through various academic and non-academic competitions, elementary school students in Indonesia demonstrate their outstanding abilities. This assessment is determined through the Talent Management Information System (SIMT), a national student achievement database. This database is used to record and map national talent, including elementary schools with the most outstanding students. This data is based on the number of medals won by elementary schools in various competitions. Not all competitions or championships are immediately recognized as official achievements. The National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has a curation mechanism to ensure that only high-quality and credible competitions are included in the calculation.
