Cheap-O Power Meter Accuracy Improvements
I bought one of the inexpensive DC power meters readily available on the Interwebs to keep track of how much juice is left in my batteries. Turns out that, surprise surprise, the current measurement is off enough that the calculated power utilization isn't going to work for me. This is the explanation of how the meter measures current, and what can be done to alter the measurements. Since we have no access to the software to change the calculation - it's time to get out the hacksaw!
