The tower was built for several purposes, the most important of which is strengthening radio and television broadcasting and improving communications and Internet services. The tower includes a communications network, restaurants, and a 5-star hotel. Milad Tower consists of three main sections: the base, which consists of 6 floors and forms the lower floors of the tower, the structure that is designed in the shape of an octagon with a height of 315 meters, and the pyramid. The tower is topped with a metal structure that forms its head and includes 12 floors, including the main balcony for viewing the Iranian capital, Tehran, from above, restaurants, cafes, and control and safety devices, while the ground floors built at the bottom of the tower include entertainment centers and commercial markets.
