Sunday at the BE100 OPEN at Bicton 2025 #eventing

Sunday morning at the BE100 Open competition which was done and dusted by 12:00 AM meaning I was able to get back home for a late lunch with the doggies. For my final equestrian outing of 2025 I crossed Devon West to East, cutting around Dartmoor via the A30 to arrive at Exeter and then onto Bicton Arena. The weather, notably the tail end of Storm Benjamin was a little bit against me but I managed to attend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to capture a cross section of competition. I've already covered the close of the BE100 competition in another video and this is the BE100 OPEN version. I've used the YouTube erase feature to remove the arena muzak and I've edited the Prize Giving to concentrate on the commentary rather than the background music. The clicking comes from the timing clock which sounds quite load when the musak is muted. Vittoria's horse, Borough Threpence, is a full son of her great horse Borough Pennyz, finished 3rd in the Open. Vittoria told me she also had Pennyz' daughter Tuppence at Bicton who finished second in the CCI 3 star short. Well done to Saskia and the evergreen 20 year old Singing Usk who went on to win the BE100 Open with clear rounds in the cross country and show jumping.
