Lübeck Travel Vlog 🇩🇪 | Medieval Streets, Niederegger Café & Hanseatic Charm

Join us on a beautiful day trip from Hamburg to Lübeck, the “Queen of the Hanseatic League” and one of Germany’s most charming UNESCO cities ✨ We spent the day exploring Lübeck’s medieval streets, history, food and riverside views. 🏰 First stop: the iconic Holstentor, Lübeck’s famous late-medieval city gate and symbol of the city. Built between the 15th century, this landmark once formed part of the city fortifications and still stands proudly at the entrance to the old town. 🍰 Next, we visited Café Niederegger and explored the Marzipan Museum where we discovered the history behind Lübeck’s world-famous marzipan, from its origins to the story of Niederegger and traditional marzipan making 🍫🌰 The museum even has life-sized marzipan figures! 😈 Outside St. Mary's Church, we met the famous little Lübeck Devil and explored the legendary Brick Gothic church often called the “mother church of Brick Gothic architecture.” ⛪ 🏛️ We continued to the historic Lübeck Town Hall, wandered through the old town streets, and visited the European Hansemuseum, the world’s largest museum dedicated to the Hanseatic League and Lübeck’s rich trading history. 🥙 Then it was time for some delicious Turkish food before ending the day relaxing by the River Trave and soaking in Lübeck’s peaceful atmosphere 🌊✨ before heading back home to Hamburg.
