Our French Farmhouse Ruin Feels Like Home
We’re finally back in the south of France, settling into our farmhouse renovation once more! After unpacking the van (including a new piano!) and setting up our living room, it’s starting to feel like a real home. While we were in the Netherlands, my parents kept the renovation progress going—painting the kitchen cabinets and making the kitchen look fantastic. We also tackled a few property projects, like installing handles on the kitchen cabinets, adding poles to mark the border for our neighbor and diving back into an overdue tree-trimming project. With gear breaking left and right, we’re keeping busy with fixes—Bram tackled the kitchen ventilation, while I handled a tire repair for our trusty mini tractor. To round out the week, we explored one of the charming local markets in a nearby village. The sights, smells, and atmosphere remind us why we fell in love with rural France.
