Their mission is to stop Hawk Moth, who wants to steal their Miraculouses, wreaking havoc on the city and creating increasingly dangerous supervillains. Meanwhile, the heroes lead normal lives while keeping their identities a secret. At school, Marinette has a crush on Adrien, but she can't confess it, so she acts shy around him. As a superhero, Adrien has a crush on Ladybug, but she rejects his advances. During many adventures throughout the school year, Ladybug discovers many interesting traits about Cat Noir, while Marinette, through tremendous effort to overcome her shyness, grows increasingly closer to Adrien.
