The Men’s Tjilirra Movement: a fight to save a dying culture
Since First contact, Indigenous Australian lives were changed forever. Across the country language, land and lore was affected by colonization. An ambitious program in Central Australia is reconnecting youth with their ancient culture and helping mental health along the way. NITV'S Ryan Liddle travelled back home to take a closer look at the revival of the traditional handmade tool making practice of Tjilirra. Here is his report for 'The Point'.
