Stephen and Jackie Newbould of Birmingham Contemporary Music Group join the Library's Nicholas Brown to discuss the work of the ensemble, Oliver Knussen and their unique Sound Investment commissioning scheme. Speaker Biography: Stephen Newbould has been artistic director of Birmingham Contemporary Music Group since 2001, having helped launch the Group from within the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 1987 with its co-founders Ulrich Heinen and Simon Clugston. He is responsible for programming BCMG's concerts, commissioning new work and guiding the overall direction of the company.
