Presidenta de la Jutep sobre denuncia contra Orsi: “No va a ser resuelto en el cortísimo plazo”

The Transparency and Public Ethics Board (Jutep) will analyze six anonymous complaints tomorrow regarding President Yamandú Orsi's purchase of a truck, which he bought at a $25,000 discount and ultimately donated to the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP). The session was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed until tomorrow because the board's members will be attending parliament. In an interview on Informativo Sarandí, Ana Ferraris, president of Jutep, confirmed that there are currently six anonymous complaints about the president's purchase of the truck. "They are all the same. The idea is to address them quickly in tomorrow's session," she stated, adding, "It's not as if the board will issue a statement tomorrow. It won't be resolved in the very short term." She explained that the investigation "requires proper procedure but cannot be lost with another complaint." She reported that, as in any case, there is the possibility of summoning the person involved to provide their statement. "So far, this has never happened; that will be decided by the official investigating the case." Regarding the delays in investigating complaints, the official reported that a project is under review proposing a maximum investigation period of 90 days. On the opposition's criticism of the agency's operations, she said: “I'm taking it calmly; I'm absolutely certain that we're working correctly.” She added: “What usually happens is that when someone doesn't like a decision by the Transparency and Public Ethics Board (JUTEP), they say it's politicized. I don't represent any political party. I don't have, nor have I ever had, any political activity.
