METRO Blue Line Replacement during Maintenance using METRO BRT Buses

In this video, you will get to experience riding a METRO Bus as a Blue Line Replacement Bus. We’re riding 8140 which is a 2021 New Flyer XD60, one of the METRO Buses that debuted with the Orange Line back in 2021. Lately Metro Transit is remodeling and repairing the METRO Blue Line as the Line is 21 years old and this being the very first Light Rail Line in Minnesota. This video is made because of the fact that the B Line wasn’t open yet and at the time of that particular maintenance, they started to use the new buses before the opening of the B Line. This was taken back in May and the new shutdowns and replacement bus services are for the remodels. Metro Transit should start testing Light Rail Trains on the New Green Line Extension soon and we will for sure see all 3 generations of Light Rail being tested on the new Extension.
