AINDA ESTOU AQUI: os bastidores do filme | com RODRIGO TEIXEIRA e BARBARA DEMEROV | Dois Pontos
After 26 years, Brazil has once again received Oscar nominations for Best International Film and Best Actress. And ‘I’m Still Here’, starring Fernanda Torres as Eunice Paiva, went even further: it earned an unprecedented nomination for Best Picture. The 2025 Oscars, which will take place next Sunday, March 2nd, during Carnival, will be the most representative for Brazil in history. ‘I’m Still Here’ has already had more than 5 million viewers in the country and has also conquered the world. In the United States, it reached a peak of 704 theaters, an absolute record for a Brazilian film. To discuss the film's success, its chances of winning the Oscar, and the behind-the-scenes aspects of the adaptation of Marcelo Rubens Paiva's book, this week's ‘Two Points’ invited Rodrigo Teixeira, one of the producers of ‘I’m Still Here’, and Barbara Demerov, journalist and film critic. This episode is presented by Estadão columnist Roseann Kennedy and features Beatriz Amendola, assistant editor of Culture.
