Russian-made firepower dominates Armenia celebrations

Armenia marked Republic Day with a massive military parade in Yerevan, showcasing an array of Russian, Indian, French, American and domestically operated military equipment. The event featured Russian Su-30SM fighter jets, TOS-1A heavy multiple rocket launchers, Mi-17V helicopters, Su-25 attack aircraft and India's Akash air defence system among other advanced platforms. More than 1,200 servicemen marched through Republic Square as Armenia's top leadership, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Defence Minister Suren Papikyan and President Vahagn Khachaturyan, attended the celebrations. The parade comes amid ongoing geopolitical discussions involving Armenia, Russia, the European Union and regional security dynamics.
