Sugara Coffee Village is a new tourist attraction in Cilacap that promotes an integrated farming concept. Visitors can learn how to process coffee from bean to cup. Despa Damar Sugara (23), the son of landowner H. Nano Surya Hadiyono, has successfully promoted robusta coffee cultivation in his hometown. Having planted robusta coffee seedlings in 2018, Despa has been cultivating robusta coffee for almost five years on 7.5 hectares of land with a total of 15,000 coffee trees. The Karanggintung specialty robusta coffee is now marketed to several cities on the island of Java, both in green bean and ground form. Thanks to his success, farmers in Karanggintung Village are now also becoming interested in cultivating coffee. To continue developing Karanggintung's signature robusta coffee, Despa also opened "Kampoeng Kopi Sugara," an educational tourist attraction in Karanggintung Village. It's a coffee shop and educational tourism destination.
