A Celebration of Joy and Integration: Family Festival in Cieszyn Colorful balloons, the joyful laughter of children, and the aroma of homemade cake – this is a brief description of the atmosphere that filled the area at 1 Katowicka Street in Cieszyn today. The highly anticipated "At Saint Elizabeth's" Family Festival began promptly at 1:00 PM. The event, organized jointly by the Elizabethan Sisters and the Parish of Saint Elizabeth, attracted crowds of residents – from the youngest to the elderly. Smiling nuns and clergy involved in the organization greeted participants from the very beginning, ensuring everyone felt at home. The children enjoyed numerous attractions, including art zones where they created colorful drawings full of hearts, sunshine, and rainbows. The festival also had an important cross-border dimension – the project received support from European funds under the Interreg Czech Republic – Poland program and the Cieszyn Silesia Euroregion, highlighting the close neighborly ties in the region. The Silesian Voivodeship was also a partner in the event. This afternoon proved that the local community can work together wonderfully, creating a space full of warmth, integration, and authentic family joy.
