When polymers degrade due to heat and shear, their viscosity decreases, reducing sealing ability and increasing blow-by. Furthermore, soot is mixed in, exceeding the limits of the dispersant, and sludge formation progresses. This vicious cycle damages the engine. Therefore, adding additives to commercially available oils afterwards can disrupt the balance. RIZOIL does not use polymers and stabilizes TBN with a diesel-compatible CF standard.
