World Music Day 2026 North West Cameroon Artists Celebrate Music, Unity and Peace Amid Conflict

Artists from the North West Region of Cameroon turned out in large numbers on Saturday, 20 June, to celebrate World Music Day 2026. The event, organised by the Association of North West Musicians (ANOWEMU), was held under the theme: "Music and National Unity in Diversity." The celebration took place in the North West Region, the epicentre of the ongoing armed conflict that has affected the area since 2017.
