Week 1 Marathon Training: Starting 24 Weeks Out After Injury | 10 Hilly Miles - Back to the Grind!

Four weeks ago, I wasn't even sure if marathon training would happen this year. After dealing with a calf injury, I spent the last month focused on recovery instead of chasing fitness. Every run was about answering one question: Can my leg handle it? This week, it's finally time to find out. Marathon training officially begins with 24 weeks until race day. I'm still not 100% healed, but I'm healthy enough to run easy, listen to my body, and start putting miles in the bank. Sometimes you can't wait for perfect—you just have to start where you are. Today's run is 10 miles through the Texas hills. If you've watched this channel before, you already know... the hills pay the bills. Every chance I get, I run hills. They're never easy, but they've made me a stronger runner over the years, and this marathon cycle won't be any different. This first week isn't about pace or proving anything. It's about building a foundation, staying healthy, and showing up consistently over the next 24 weeks. There will be good days, bad days, setbacks, breakthroughs, and hopefully another marathon finish line waiting at the end. If you're training for your own race, coming back from an injury, or just trying to get back into running, I'd love to hear where you are in your journey. Leave a comment below so we can encourage each other along the way. Thanks for coming along for the ride. Week 1 starts now. Let's see where these next 24 weeks take us. #MarathonTraining #Marathon #Running #RunWithMe #LongRun #RoadTo262 #InjuryRecovery #Comeback #TexasRunning #HillsPayTheBills #MastersRunner #RunningMotivation #MarathonJourney
