Bill Longley rescues the wounded Reverend Kilgore from an ambush and learns the preacher was bound for Phillipsburg—a town with a deadly reputation for men of the cloth. At Kilgore’s urging, Longley agrees to pose as the reverend, holstering his gun and picking up a Bible instead. But in a town ruled by a crooked judge and a ruthless boss, faith alone may not be enough to save the day. With no weapon but his wits, Longley must rally the townspeople and stand up to the corruption threatening to silence the good for good.
