Wear gloves as parts of the plant may cause irritation to the skin. The plant has huge leaves up to 60cm which resemble Elephant's ears, hence the name. These amazing tropical plants require warmth and moisture to thrive. In the UK they are not hardy and require special treatment over winter. Move to a cool place, always above freezing, stop watering and allow to dry out so that the plant becomes dormant. They propagate themselves by producing tiny side growths. These can be divided off and planted as a separate plant. I have tried slicing some off with part of the corm as an experiment, subscribe to my channel and I will update you.
