Ciutadella de Menorca | A Walk Through the Stunning Town & Port

Join us as we take you for a tour of the stunning town of Ciutadella de Menorca. Starting off when we got dropped off by taxi in the beautiful market square and working our way up through the street past Cathedral Basilica of Ciutadella de Menorca - Otherwise known as the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Mary, a stunning an historical Roman Catholic church. This is a must-see city if you are on the island of Menorca. With a market being present on Mondays and Fridays, there is plenty of opportunity to purchase and souvenirs. Especially if you are looking for T shirts, sarongs or leather goods. There is the main street heading up from the market square that is garnished either side with great independent boutiques, bars and restaurants. The smells of which will ensure you feel hungry even if you are not. You have a few street vendors selling arts crafts and of course as per any large tourist attractive city, there are other doing tricks and shows for children trying to prize the money off the parents. So be careful not to loiter too long when you are next to the Cathedral, or it could cost you. We take you for a quick tour up through the main street allowing to get a gist of what is in store for yourselves if you ever visit. We made a point of visiting the Cathedral and were quite astonished how full of history it was and as it cost only around €12 for a family of 4 to enter, we believe it is something that is worth doing - but if you do not want to you can see what is within it on our video. Then there is the port, which no visit to Ciutadella would be complete without. This is a beautiful port, surrounded again by restaurants and bars. But please note that the prices in these restaurants is premium compared to others you will find in the main town area and streets. We were staying in Cala n Forcat which is a €10 ride away by taxi.
