She was earlier transferred to the district police headquarters and has now been placed under suspension pending further proceedings. According to the allegations in the source report, the officer allegedly tipped off ganja smugglers before police raids and shared confidential information with them. The allegations reportedly surfaced during the examination of mobile phones seized from accused persons arrested after a ganja haul from a container by Sonepur Police on January 18. Following the revelations, the then Boudh SP had issued a show-cause notice and transferred the officer from Manamunda Police Station to the district police headquarters.
