Old boys of Hato Pāora return to celebrate 75th jubilee | Te Ao Māori News
Hato Pāora College is the youngest of the four remaining Māori boarding schools in Aotearoa. This Labour weekend saw old boys from across the motu return to their old kura in celebration of its 75th jubilee. Many reminisced and caught up on years past, some for the first time seeing each other since they left the college. Te Rito journalist Michael Cugley was at the milestone event and spoke with Pā Hāki Smith, tumuaki Nathan Matthews and Māori journalist/old boy Aroha Awarau.
