I did test them without ANC too, but those results aren't that different / relevant. The mic recording is taken from an actual call, of course it sounds a bit better if you record straight to a recorder, but who does that? We did retest the microphone with several different (recent, high-end phones) including the Samsung Galaxy S10+ and ASUS ZenFone 6, so no it's not a phone or codec issue. I forgot to mention: you do get a carry pouch for your headphones. They're nice, but bulkier and not as protective as some others. Questions? Just ask!
