Qu’est devenu Lance Armstrong ? Sa vie après le scandale
Lance Armstrong was the face of the Tour de France. Seven victories, a comeback after cancer, an image of a global hero… then one of the most spectacular collapses in sports history. After his confession to Oprah Winfrey, Armstrong lost his Tour de France titles, his Olympic medal, his sponsors, and his position within Livestrong. But contrary to what many imagine, the former champion didn't disappear. And above all, he didn't end up penniless. So, what became of Lance Armstrong after the doping scandal that destroyed his career? In this video, I retrace his entire second life: the USADA sanction, the UCI's decision, his seven revoked Tour titles, the lawsuits, the millions of dollars he had to pay, his conflict with Floyd Landis, and the fall of the empire he had built. But then his story takes a completely unexpected turn. An investment made almost by chance in Chris Sacca's fund indirectly allowed him to benefit from the explosive growth of a tiny company called… Uber. Armstrong himself described this investment as having saved his family. Far from professional cycling, Lance Armstrong then became an entrepreneur, investor, and media personality. With WEDŪ, he developed the podcasts THEMOVE and The Forward. He returned to commentating on the Tour de France alongside George Hincapie, Johan Bruyneel, Bradley Wiggins, and other former stars of the peloton. But behind this career change, the same question still lurks: Does Lance Armstrong truly regret what he did? He acknowledges doping, lying, and the harm he caused. Yet, he continues to maintain that he won the Tour de France seven times. A position he still defends today, particularly when discussing Tadej Pogačar and the true Tour de France record. So, has Lance Armstrong truly repented? Did he achieve redemption? Or did he simply turn his own downfall into a new business? This video tells the story of the second life of a man whose name was erased from the Tour de France winners' list… without ever truly disappearing from its history. In the midst of the Tour de France, with its fierce battles between Pogacar, Evenepoel, and Seixas, let's take a moment to look back at the man who was the face of the Tour (for a little too long). #LanceArmstrong #TourDeFrance #Cycling #Doping #TadejPogacar
