Newbridge Memo Centenary Gala

Welcome to the Memo Centenary Gala live stream, a celebration of 100 years of history, community, and live entertainment at Newbridge Memo. This special evening begins with a newly commissioned brass band composition by Daniel Hall, performed by Crosskeys Silver Band recorded by Cobra Studio, accompanied by a stunning video created by Coleg Gwent Film & Media students. Guiding us through the night is our host, the brilliant Steve Speirs, who will introduce an incredible lineup of performers. From the powerful voices of Abertillery Orpheus and Torfaen Male Voice Choirs to the world-renowned harpist Catrin Finch, and the sensational Welsh of the West End. The Valleys’ musical heritage shines through with local artists who have made their mark, including singer-songwriter Kaysha Louvain, the emerging talent of Memo Creative, and the dynamic drumming of Newbridge Got Talent winner Drummer Boy Brendan. Bringing raw energy to the stage, Merthyr band and Newbridge Future Rocks winners Sleazy Money bring their electrifying sound to the Memo stage. This gala is more than just a celebration of the past; it is a testament to the future of the Memo and its place as a home for creativity, talent, and community. As we reflect on the past century, we also look ahead to the next hundred years of stories, music, and memories waiting to be made. Thank you for being part of this journey.
