We managed to avoid strict restrictions on European wine imports, but some important items may be in short supply, especially before the New Year. In particular, the major Champagne houses are members of the Champagne Committee, which has refused to supply champagne to our country. Therefore, this December, we are experiencing a certain shortage of familiar brands. But every crisis is also a time of new opportunities. More and more small Champagne houses, the so-called Récoltants, are emerging, and we are discovering the world of sparkling wines using the classic method. And this world is proving to be vast. Chiara Soldati of La Scolca seemed to sense this and released a new classic rosé in 2022, of superb quality and at an affordable price.
