How a Drawbridge operates

This bridge tender was kind enough to let me film him raising the Racine Street Bridge. We saw a sailboat coming. At the beginning of the video the driver stops on the bridge as he saw the gate come down and the bridge tender was gonna go say hey that person needs to get off the bridge but the person behind him honked at him. Then the sailboat changed its mind because there was more coming but they were behind. The bridge tender was not happy about that and the people waiting for the bridge were pissed.
