During these raids, extensive records belonging to Deepnarayan are being scrutinized. A Vigilance inquiry against him had previously been initiated on April 5, 2021, revealing an income of ₹1,430 crore; however, the investigation notably showed expenditures amounting to ₹3,732 crore. The UP Vigilance department had registered an FIR against Deepnarayan Singh Yadav in 2022. The ED has taken this action in connection with that FIR, which pertains to a disproportionate assets case.
