SUSPIROS MERENGUITOS muy fáciles de hacer y deliciosos

INGREDIENTS Meringue: 4 egg whites (preferably from large eggs) = 150g = 3/4 cup 300g sugar = 18 tablespoons = 1.5 cups (the sugar should always be double the amount of egg whites) 2 teaspoons cornstarch = 10g 1 pinch of salt. PREPARATION: The egg whites should be at room temperature; take them out of the refrigerator at least 2 hours before using them. Place the egg whites in a mixer and beat slowly until they begin to foam. Add a pinch of salt, as this helps them adhere better and enhances the flavor. Increase the mixer speed to high and gradually add the sugar in a steady stream so it doesn't deflate the meringue. Continue beating at high speed for about 5 minutes. Then add the cornstarch and beat a little longer to fully incorporate it into the mixture. The meringue is ready when it has a firm, glossy texture and forms stiff peaks when the beaters are lifted. If you turn the bowl upside down, the meringue should not fall out. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and, using a piping bag filled with the meringue, pipe the meringues to your desired size. Bake in a preheated oven at 100°C (212°F) for at least 1.5 to 2 hours, or even a little longer depending on your oven. Then, turn off the oven and don't open it. Let it cool inside the oven for at least 30 minutes, then remove it. Enjoy! And don't eat them all at once, resist!
