Züge am Haltepunkt Leipzig Nord (S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland) – S-Bahn, Fernbahn, Straßenbahn

Leipzig Nord is a station of the suburban rail network of S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland, serving the cities of Leipzig and Halle (Saale), Germany. Just north of Leipzig Nord the railway to Eilenburg – Torgau – Hoyerswerda splits off, served by suburban train line S 4. Lines S 2 going to Bitterfeld and S 6 to Leipzig Messe stop here as well. In some scenes you can watch trains of lines S 5 and S 5X. They do not stop here, as they use the tracks for long distance trains and then change onto the express line to Halle. The long distance tracks are also used by IC and ICE trains of various lines. The tram stop Mockauer/Volbedingstraße of tram lines 1 and 9 is not far away. The suburban station has only one access at the southern end of its platform. So if you want to change to the tram, it may result in a walk of more than 5 minutes.
