"Period Drama: Elegant Thief Story" airs Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:50 PM (1986, Gekidan Gunsei Theater Company) ▽ The story of Machar, a thief with a warmth unique to Okinawa ▽ Airs every third Wednesday of the month [Synopsis] Tara and Usa, two farmers in a certain village, have been engaged since childhood and are soon to be married. Then, one day, Usa's father, Su, confesses his feelings to Usa with a serious look on his face. He reveals that Usa is actually the child of the master of the Kamiyama-den in Shuri and his daughter, Chira, and that the master, whom Usa had previously believed to be his father, is actually Usa's grandfather. Usa's mother, Chira, died shortly after giving birth to Usa, and Usa was raised as a farmer by her grandfather, Su. However, since Kamiyama-den had not yet produced a son, Usa was called back to take over the family business. Usa-ko suddenly leaves the village and is separated from her fiancé, Tara, who is also at a loss and feeling depressed. One day, Tara helps Machar, a famous thief, as he is being chased by officials. Machar promises Tara that he will repay the favor. Meanwhile, Usa-ko has returned to Shuri and is being bullied every day by Aya, Kamiyama Donnai's second wife. Aya plots to kill Usa-ko so that Kamiyama Donnai can become her daughter's. However, the thief Machar overhears their plot. What will become of Usa-ko? And what will become of her love with Tara?
