Le lunch-conférence « Si l’autisme n’est pas une maladie, qu’est-ce ? »

Professor Laurent Mottron, a full professor at the University of Montreal and clinician-researcher at the CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, has just published his new book, “If Autism Isn’t an Illness, What Is It?” Based on a reinterpretation of clinical and scientific data, this book proposes a redefinition of autism, no longer as an illness, but as a human variation associated with adaptive advantages and challenges, such as being left-handed, and questions traditional ideas about diagnostic criteria.
