This time, my husband and I went fishing for five different species at Hijima Fishing Port, a popular breakwater in Kami-Amakusa. There wasn't any particular fish we were targeting, so the husband started off with a light winding, while the wife explored with micro shore jigging. We started off well, and early on, on a fairly standard breakwater, my wife caught another 3-foot-long, high-quality fish for the first time in months!? After that, the bites stopped dead, but then my wife tried a new lure for the first time, and even though she wasn't reeling in any new ones, she started catching a variety of fish. My husband had trouble catching any fish, so he tried various things like chinning, baiting with insects, and using a sabiki, but nothing worked (lol). But we still had a great time fishing and chatting. ...
