A Dharma Talk With Zen Master Dae Kwang
Providence Zen Center hosts Zen Master Dae Kwang for the Sunday dharma talk. He's been a monk since 1987 and received transmission in 1996. He is the guiding teacher Zen centers in Wisconsin and Mexico. Zen Master Dae Kwang has traveled widely, leading retreats throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, including 90-day retreats in Korea. His interests include meditation practices common to Christians and Buddhists. The introductory talk is by Manu Garcia-Guillen. A French-Spanish citizen, Manu is a Bodhisattva teacher practicing at the Chogye International Zen Center of NY. Professionally, she works as a school teacher and is the author of Do Nothing, a meditation book for kids. She is also a pro bono psychotherapist and chaplain in training. Manu is an animal lover, mostly cats, but occasionally other creatures too, such as rats... and humans.
