Today is a full sailing day so Judy gets to enjoy her bikini time on the deck getting some great sun and working on her tan. We sail past some spectacular landscapes along the Nile River as we head south. We have one final fantastic lunch on board after arriving in Aswan. We take our last excursion with the ship to visit the stunning Philae and Hathor Temples which are on an island nearby in the the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam of the Nile River. We disembark our small boat and encounter a large group of men selling goods including one playing a musical instrument. We tour the beautiful temples and then return to the boat dock where we visit a shop and do some negotiating to buy Judy a dress and a pair of pants. We hop on the bus and return to the ship where Judy puts on her Cleopatra outfit for our final dinner on board. We have the pleasure of meeting Amir Attia who is the director of the SS Sudan. We hang out at the bar for a while before dinner and watch the staff concoct these fabulous drinks. Amir then gives a speech and introduces various members of the fabulous crew of the SS Sudan before our final dinner on board. We then hang out with friends that we met on the cruise for the evening and have some drinks before retiring and disembarking the next day. The SS Sudan is a steamer that was built in 1923 and was the inspiration for Agatha Christie's novel death on the Nile and the subsequent movies produced about the book, including the detective Hercule Poirot.
