One option: if there is a selvedge stitch, make a small armhole, but the snakeskin stitch will be transformed into a stockinette stitch. Another option: just make one stockinette stitch, without shaping the armhole. The shoulders must be sewn and then the sleeves must be picked up. If a small armhole was made, pick up (with a fine needle) the chain stitches and then, after every 2 knots, 1 space over the stockinette stitch. If an armhole was not made, pick up the same over the stockinette stitch on the edge.
