Vanguard Alta Sky 51D Backpack Review

This video is a review of the Vanguard Alta Sky 51D Backpack. I wanted a camera bag that could carry a Phantom drone together with a standard DSLR, ideally with lens attached, and up to about three additional lenses, plus a tripod, filters and batteries etc. The Alta Sky 51D does this, but it is not perfect; no camera bag ever is! At the time I acquired this bag there were very few on line reviews, that gave me the information I was looking for. Hopefully this review helps you in deciding whether to get this bag. ** Update Nov 2022 ** I'm no longer using this bag as my needs, and equipment have changed. I no longer have the drone nor the same camera equipment. This bag only really suited my needs whilst I had the drone. Additionally, after only a few uses, one of the loops that secure the hook for the front panel (about 4m 30s in) came away from the stitching to the main body, just purely from trying to tighten the strap. I was never a big fan of these fasteners, as I explain in the video, and demonstrates a failing of this bag. You therefore need to be careful when tightening the straps! Items I used to carry in the bag are: DJI Phantom Standard Drone & Controller Canon 5D mk3 plus lens Canon 16-35 f4, 24-105, 24 TSE lenses Canon 7D mk2 body 2 Spare camera batteries in Think Tank wallet Lee filter wallet with 6 filters Lee filter holder Lee Little Stopper filter Lee Polariser filter Blower Cloths & wipes Release cable Spirit Level 3 Legged Thing Brian or Benro tripod Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/marklin...
